Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been so frustrated with my point and shoot digital pictures and nothing I have tried so far has given me the results I want. I have photoshop but really had no clue how to even get started with it. Now I do. And why didn’t I think of those clam lights? Great inexpensive solution to the same constraints we both have at dinner time. I duff my chapeau!

Thanks Lucy. I do agree that natural light is far and away superior, but if I was to agree with the “always”, then Constables Larder would not exist!

Natural light. Always. ALWAYS. If it means I can only make blog-related images on weekends, so be it.

Photoshop kinda sucks all the joy out of image-making for me, I must say...Luckily, I am blessed with flooding southern hemisphere light and have, over the years, learned to bend it to my will!

Take hundreds of images per post. Oft mentioned for a reason - editing (ruthlessly) out what does not work will leave you with a handful of images that sing.
