I'm like a lot of people here. I just crank up the AC and turn on the oven. If I'm in the mood for something baked or roasted, no amount of heat will stop me. I'm nuts that way. I also made fried chicken on a 90-degree day because I just had to have fried chicken. Let'snot forget that for me, summer is my weekly baking time. Sweet Treat of the WEek usually requires the oven.

I'd turn the oven on for this one no problem.

The oven is always on at work so i might as well do some braised meats. You're becoming a real expert on the subject Giff. I see.. I see a cookbook in your future! I have psychic powers. Never told you? :)

WOW - loving this. Pork shoulder is one of my favorite cuts - I have never seen it braised with cabbage before. I braise all year round, sometimes I just eat the shoulder cold when the weather is too hot.

This look sooooo good! But how do you stand to have the oven on for 2 hours? You must have a much better ventilated apartment than I do. I'm afraid if I made this right now, I'd end up braising not only the pork, but me and my dog as well! ;-)
